What We Can Cut

Wood and Plywood

Wood laser cutting is where our machine truly shines. We can cut remarkably detailed and intricate shapes with clean edges and that warm organic look that no manufactured product can match. We work with plywood, MDF, basswood, poplar, and a range of hardwoods. Perfect for wedding signage, welcome signs, seating charts, table numbers, name signs, wall art, ornaments, home decor, nursery pieces, and personalized gifts.

Acrylic

Acrylic cuts beautifully on our CO2 laser, producing smooth polished edges right off the machine. We work with clear, coloured, mirrored, frosted, and opaque acrylic. Perfect for modern wedding signage, table numbers, cake toppers, awards, keychains, and eye-catching decorative pieces.

Leather

Real and laser-safe faux leather both cut cleanly and precisely. Perfect for patches, accessories, keychains, bookmarks, and custom leather goods. We only use verified laser-safe leather and never work with PVC-based faux leather.

Paper and Cardstock

Some of the most intricate designs we produce are on paper and cardstock. Perfect for wedding invitations and stationery, gift tags, decorative paper art, and detailed signage accents.

Fabric

We cut cotton, linen, felt, denim, and other natural fabrics with clean precision. Great for appliques, fabric shapes, custom patches, felt ornaments, and textile decor. We do not cut synthetic fabrics that are not confirmed laser safe.

Foam and EVA Foam

Clean, precise cuts for costume pieces, cosplay props, armour components, themed party props, and creative craft projects.

Rubber

Thin rubber sheets can be cut to create custom rubber stamps and other functional pieces.

Cork

Cuts cleanly for personalized coasters, custom trivets, notice boards, and decorative home items.

What We Cannot Cut

We are always straightforward about the limitations of our equipment. We do not cut the following:

  • Bare raw metal including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, gold, and silver. Cutting metal requires a fiber laser or CNC router.
  • Glass. Our CO2 laser can engrave flat glass but cannot cut through it.
  • PVC, vinyl, and PVC-based artificial leather. These release toxic chlorine gas when cut.
  • Polycarbonate and Lexan. These catch fire easily and produce harmful fumes.
  • Carbon fibre with epoxy resin coating and fibreglass. Both produce hazardous fumes.
  • Any material with unknown coatings or adhesives that cannot be confirmed as laser safe.

Step 1: Tell Us What You Need
Reach out through our contact page or custom order form. Share material preference, dimensions, quantity, and design details. Send a reference image or your own file if you have one.

Step 2: We Design and You Approve
We create a digital proof and send it for your review. Nothing gets cut until you are completely happy.

Step 3: We Cut It Right Here in Medicine Hat
Every piece is cut by our family right here in Gas City. Some pieces may include light finishing work after cutting.

Step 4: Pick Up Locally or Ship Across Canada
Local pickup available in Medicine Hat. We ship carefully packaged orders across Canada.

Can you cut acrylic mirror or coloured acrylic?
Yes. Coloured and mirrored cast acrylic produces stunning results.

How detailed can laser cut designs be?
Very detailed depending on the material and thickness. We will let you know during the design stage if any elements may not cut cleanly.

Do you do rush orders?
We do our best depending on current order volume. Please reach out as early as possible for time-sensitive events.
